I excel in collaborative, multidisciplinary environments where I can contribute to a team's success while also taking initiative on independent tasks. As a continuous learner, I am always eager to acquire new skills and tackle complex challenges.

Experience

Biomedical Engineer

Undergraduate Teaching Assistant - Design and Manufacturing

Lampe Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering - UNC & NCSU | 2024 - 2025

  • Created a functioning peristaltic pump achieving 10-20 mL flow rate, reproduced within ±10% variation.

  • Trained 40+ students in CNC machining, rapid prototyping, and lab safety protocols.

  • Oversaw quality assurance and confirmed 40+ peristaltic pumps met design and performance specifications.

Engineering Intern

Lumedica | Jun 2024 - Aug 2024

  • Designed 3D parts in SolidWorks to build a mechanical arm with 3 rotational axes, capable of holding 10 lbs.

  • Validated 3D-printed components to uphold 150 N using ANSYS FEA and load testing.

  • Delivered 8 executive-level technical reports on system improvements to the CTO and CEO.

Engineering Intern

Mao3D | Jun 2023 - Jul 2023

  • Designed 3 adaptable prosthetic prototypes using OnShape, OpenSCAD, and Blender.

  • Accomplished fit for 10+ unique anatomies by translating requirements into CAD.

  • Maintained 10+ 3D printers, ensuring calibration, material compatibility, and continuous production flow.
